Coadministration has not been studied but based on metabolism and clearance a clinically significant interaction is unlikely. Kava kava appears to inhibit CYP3A4 in vitro only, therefore, a clinically relevant effect is not expected. However, monitor patient as variations in potency amongst preparations is large.
