In both options we use a ‘Traffic Lights’ system to indicate the recommendation / strength of recommendation. For the online charts, cells are populated with study data, information from the Manufacturer’s Summary of Product Characteristics or Prescribing Information, or expert opinion and are shown as filled symbols.

The charts on this site are a guide to interactions that may occur between different anti-hepatitis drugs and other medications that the HBV and/or HCV -infected patient may be prescribed. The charts are constantly being updated as new data emerge.

Currently the charts have been compiled from the Summary of Product Characteristics, Prescribing Information, meeting abstracts and full papers. With a few exceptions, only drugs cited in these sources are listed. If a drug is not listed it cannot automatically be assumed it is safe to coadminister. As information becomes available, additional drugs will be added to the list of comedications.
